Prerequisites

A Telegram account
Telegram app (desktop or mobile)

Setup Steps

Open BotFather

Search for @BotFather in the Telegram app and start a conversation. BotFather is the official Telegram bot for creating and managing bots.

Create a new bot

Send the /newbot command to BotFather. It will ask you for a display name (e.g., "My Hatcher Agent") and a username. The username must end with "bot" (e.g., "my_hatcher_agent_bot").

Copy the bot token

BotFather will respond with your HTTP API token. It looks like this:

Configure in Hatcher

Go to your agent's Integrations tab in the Hatcher dashboard. Select Telegram, paste your bot token, and save.

Deploy or restart

Deploy your agent (or restart it if already running). The Telegram integration activates automatically.
