Prerequisites

A Slack workspace you have admin access to

Setup Steps

Create a new Slack App

Go to the Slack API dashboard and click "Create New App." Choose "From scratch" and select your workspace.

Configure bot token scopes

Go to OAuth & Permissions. Under "Bot Token Scopes," add: chat:write, channels:read, and app_mentions:read. These are the minimum scopes needed.

Install to workspace

Click "Install to Workspace" at the top of the OAuth & Permissions page. Authorize the app. Copy the "Bot User OAuth Token" that starts with xoxb-.

Enable Event Subscriptions

Go to Event Subscriptions and toggle it on. Subscribe to these bot events: app_mention and message.channels. The Request URL will be provided by Hatcher when you configure the integration.

Go to your agent's Integrations tab. Select Slack, paste your Bot User OAuth Token, and save.
